Curriculum

Abbeyfield School provides a broad and balanced curriculum for students of all ages. We offer a wide range of courses at GCSE, AVCE, AS and A2 levels, which include both traditional and vocational qualifications. At post-16 level, we work collaboratively with other schools and the local further education college to maximize the range of opportunities open to students.

Each student will be supported and guided throughout their time at Abbeyfield and parents are kept well informed about their children’s progress. Students usually work alongside children of similar ability and we have staff with particular responsibilities for the progress of gifted and talented children. All students are given regular targets to help them improve the standard of their work.

We believe that students achieve the best standards possible where committed teachers and caring parents are seen to be working together and where they all share high expectations, both at School and at home.
