The House System

One of the most exciting and memorable moments since we became a CET Academy was the re-launch of the House System in 2013. Students were enthralled by the presentation and the follow up activities that started a real sense of competition amongst the Houses in the school.

Since the launch, some incredible changes have been made within the school and Abbeyfield’s Houses have been right at the heart of it. The House Captain position has gone on to form both House Prefects and Head Boy/ Girl.

Applicants for these roles hold a school wide campaign and these elections really catch the imagination of the students so much that we feel it important that students from the main school are also represented.  We, therefore, also elect House Prefects; never before have Abbeyfield students been so well represented or been so empowered and,no doubt, it will lead to great things not just for the individuals involved, but also for the school as a whole.

The 5 Houses, their respective colours, Heads of Houses and 6th Form Prefects are shown below.
