New 9-1 GCSE qualifications- English & Maths

GCSE qualifications are being reformed and part of this phased reform is the introduction of the new 9-1 gradeset from September 2015. The new GCSE subjects are being introduced gradually, with the first wave being taught from September 2015.

The new English and Maths GCSEs are now being taught in all schools in England and accordingly, Year 10 students will receive a grade of 9-1 (rather than A*-G) in these subjects at the end of their GCSE courses.

Starting with the current Year 10 students ( academic year 2015-16), all assessments for English and Maths will now be graded and reported on Grade Cards using the new 9-1 system. For more information, please click here.
