Wellbeing and Support
Being a Sixth Former can be an overwhelming experience with lots of choices and decisions to make that impact your future. As a team, we are always here to support and care for our students. Wellbeing and mindfulness is important to us and we want to ensure our sixth form students have the best experience for the two years they are here.
There are a range of support strategies in place to help students with the many issues they may face.
Both myself, Claire Wawrzesta (Head of Post-16) and Karen Collier (Sixth Form Centre Manager), are Designated Safeguarding Leads. We are incredibly lucky to also have an Assistant Principal for Safeguarding, Mia Tomlinson, as well as three amazing resident counsellors, Laura Allen, Jennifer Giles and Emily Abrahams who offer counselling sessions to those students who require it. The School Nurse is also in once a week.
